I got it for free and it still works fine for casual browsing and watching videos
How long have you had it? If it's relatively new (Less than a couple years) then giving it a factory reset could in theory get rid of any bloat.

If it's older than that, though... Well, let's just say cheap tablets don't use the highest quality flash memory, can't exactly fix that.

I'm thinking of getting a new CPU soon. Would it be cheaper to get a ryzen or an i7?
get a ryzen

Not really computer related but whatever. A phone is basically a small pc

I finally got a new phone, the OnePlus 3T, and the overal experience is p good
But oh lordie the settings are confusing. And the "Alert slider" thingy is annoying as stuff. loving allow me to turn the volume all the way down instead of relying on a hardware based option wich is just obnoxious. I had to tweak a stuffton (1) of settings to get it to vibrate properly (insert context) If I want ringtones and stuff just do it by turning the volume up. Want vibration? Turn the damn volume all the way down. Dont want to be disturbed? Either turn the volume down even more by pressing the button again or do it with the tile thingy at the tope of your screen.

This stuff is really annoying

Other then that its a fantastic phone. Im p dissapointed by the battery life tough. I expected to have atleast 70-60% left when I got home but its more like 55-50% and I havent used it that much today.
Oh well.

I've been thinking of upgrading my computer eventually, mainly GPU and CPU.
I'd like to upgrade my computer to where I can run games such as Space Engineers and GTA 5 a lot smoother.

Current specs:

Motherboard: 97A-G46
Graphics: AMD Radeon R7 350
CPU: AMD FX-4300
Ram: 8gb DDR3
PSU 450W

If possible I'd like to avoid getting a new motherboard, I'm willing to spend $300-400 on upgrades

Uh well both are kinda stuff so idk
Id save up for a ryzen motherboard bundle and a graphics card later on or vise versa

Id go for the motherboard bundle first because you have the stufftiest cpu of the ancient amd generation wich is stuff in general so...

The best upgrades you can get is an AMD FX-9590 and a RX 470 / 480, those two would be the best and will fit right in your budget.

Oh also a corsair / evga 500w psu or more

an r5 1600, cheap b350 board and an 8gb stick of ddr4 ram would put you near or at 400$ and would set you up to have a great build if down the road you add another 8gb stick and rx 470 to 580 or gtx 1060 to 1070

What would be some good options if I were to get another board?

90 (mobo) + 220 (cpu) + 63 (ram) = $373, plus taxes and shipping maybe idk

as far as even more power goes, i doubt that ram would have trouble being oc'd to the mobo's max 2667 mhz, and the 1600 can overclock to around 3.8mhz with the cooler it comes with. also for $20 more you can get the current go-to motherboard for ryzen if you wanted

Some Intel Z170 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

BIOS is the power management system in Motherboards and you need a CPU to update it. Kaby Lake CPUs need the motherboard BIOS update to work, but you can't update the BIOS with it. Find a motherboard with an Intel Z270 chipset if you don't want to update the BIOS

What ATX mid tower case would you guys recommend? I'm looking for something with decent cable management and airflow. Side panel windows are not a necessity.

basically this motherboards gonna need an update so you'll need one CPU that's compatible with it OOB and then your CPU

If you want to use a Kaby lake cpu on a 1xx Intel chipset, you'll have to buy a seperate skylate CPU to flash the BIOS so the board will support Kaby Lake. Without this BIOS update, the CPU will not post / initiate.

It is 1000x more cost effective to buy a 2xx chipset anyhow.

I've decided to build a new PC, I'll be reusing my PSU and RAM
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Peavy/saved/GHqMpg Is this any good?

Dont buy an FX cpu now that ryzen is a thing
Also I wont get an Itx motherboard unless you want a really small case.
