alright so i was attempting to install cinnamon on ubuntu 12.10. i typed in these commands in order in the terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install cinnamon
i restarted my computer, and cinnamon is not working, it's still unity, though i have an application called "cinnamon settings" now. any help?

log out and change your environment from "Unity" or "Ubuntu" to "Cinnamon" through the unity session manager (login screen.)

Yessah

temporarily fixed by changing it to borderless window mode and matching resolution with my screen but it's a bit more annoying now

I prefer gnome-classic or MATE but that's just me. A lot of people would rather use XFCE4.
