because really, even an i5 suits the gtx 780 ti completely fine

They are not backed by a government so the value of the currency is as fragile as a eggshell, the entire currency can crash is some bullstuff like the MT Gox thing happens, not only that, countries are banning these bullstuff excuses for currencies such as China, Russia, etc. Apple also pulled all the bitcoin wallets off the app store because of legal issues. Honestly who wants a currency that can't be used?

Might as well just go for top-end "enthusiast" hardware since that's what the 780 ti is

So that's an i7-4770k for cpu (+cooler)
Maybe spend $220 or more on a motherboard
Gold/platinum rated 600-700W psu
16 GB of 2133mhz ram
expensive ssd
cheap and massive hdd
$150 case
