Howdy fella's! Would you mind helpin me w/ something-
Some time ago (I keep thinking 2003/2004), me and my dad built our own custom computer. I'm not sure what he was thinking, but we built it mainly for the Microsoft Flight Sim. series (thusly, it had to be a big comp). We got it to run, and in those days getting MFS to run above 30 fps was something.
So time went on and my father got tire of MFS, and went on to those tiny remote control helicopters, and switched out this old clunker (I believe the hard drive has been fragmented/corrupted so long that it seeped into the mobo) for a model for simple and faster internet browsing. He gave the old model to me since I didn't have one, and to play my own games on.
Unfortunately, another reason he gave it to me was because the processor had a maximum 2GB memory, so we could never upgrade beyond Microsoft XP SP3 (I can't tell if that's a bad thing or not). I've been putting up with it for a long time, but I've gotta upgrade at some point.
What I want to do: rebuild the computer tower. I don't want to replace it since it's something me and my father built together and spent a lot of time on. But I want to replace/upgrade all the internal components. I can't seem to find the name or type of the tower, but I do have its external measurements (American) and mobo type for its measurements:
16 7/8 in. tall
18 5/8 in. long (front to back)
7 3/4 in. wide
MSI MS-7211
Sorry for the long explanation, but I hope ya'll can help me. Thank you!
