My xfx monitor stand came today, and I hooked up my 3 24" monitors and its pretty bangin. Getting the monitors lined up perfect is a bitch though. Also the stand puts the monitors a little to in my face. I'll get some pics after I get it all set up and lookin pretty.

Quoting because pagelost due to The Kandalf.

An i5 3570k would be better from what I've seen.

Maybe, although Intel CPUS are good, sometimes they can be overpriced and most of them are over rated.

an i5 3570k is like 20 dollars more.

I'll wait for other peoples inputs.
It can only really be $200 because I already chose all my other stuff for the computer, and i'm already over budget almost.

Yeah, it wouldn't hurt to upgrade it. NewEgg is having a 20% off sale on XFX PSUs too.

I've completely forgot what needs to be compatible with what when picking a PSU. Does it depend on my motherboard? My graphics card? What?

For example, my current PSU has a 2 x 6+2-Pin for PCI-Express Connectors. Should I be looking for a PSU that also has a 2 x 6+2-Pin?

What details from the PSU I am choosing should I compare to my components to know if it's compatible?

Also, do you guys have good experience with XFX PSUs?

What's your graphics card?

I'm planning on getting a GTX 660 Ti.

On the GTX 660 Ti page on NewEgg, it recommends a few things and one of them is a PSU. It has a 20+4Pin Main Connecter, 4 x 6+2-Pin PCI-Express Connector, and 10 SATA Power Connectors. This PSU has the same specifications. Would this be compatible?

Yeh it is.
But it's overkill.
They of course recommend the most expensive thing they could find
You'llbe fine with a psu that has 500 watt and 2x 6pin connectors

BUT
To use that card efficiently
You need a mainboard that supports pcie 3.0 and an ivy bridge cpu. Do you have that?

sweet jesus
