I need to know if its decent, if its compatible and if i should use a different case (Or anything else)
main reason im asking is because it comes out to about 318, and thats just really weird because my last alienware laptop costed around 19 hundred, and i dont know if its just the magic of custom building or i left out alot.

How can I reinstall windows 7 without deleting the programs?

It'll all be compatible, however you don't seem to have a lot of storage space. Are you going to be using external storage or another drive salvaged from another computer?

Not breaking your installation in the first place.

no it doesn't

get a gigabyte mobo

your right it does, my calculator on my computer messed up so yea, though it doesnt matter much because i have a higher budget then that.

I thought overclocking was a thing to do, not something you get?
EDIT: Sorry double post
EDIT2: Also by gigabyte mobo do you mean a motherboard

Get an i5 3750k.
Get a Gigabyte motherboard.
Then if you have more with your budget, consider a better graphics card. Maybe a better PSU, if you have to.
EDIT:
I thought overclocking was a thing, not something you get?
With intel, if you want to overclock you pay a little extra for an unlocked processor, which has a "k" at the end. Then when you get it, you can overclock.
At least, I think that's how it goes.

yeah, i meant buy it and then overclock it

you're getting a hyper 212 so you should put it to use

Well, when i used both those, the price dropped a tab because of a $60 deal for the i5 3750k, what would you suggest for a better graphics card?

its both

the i5-3570k is "unlocked" which means it is able to be overclocked

7870 GHz edition
How about 7850? and someone said something about a better PSU
