If it were me, I'd swap the case for a cheaper solution like the NZXT Source 210, get an FX-4300 instead.
Thanks, saved me a bit.

get a 6300. I think they are only like ten dollars more andd they are good

okay, fine you want loving proof, heres your damn proof you jew

Of course the 8350 pulled out way ahead of the 3570k in the tests in this video, all of the crysis games are notoriously well-threaded and would therefore extremely favor a cpu with 8 cores over one with 4 cores

Same thing here

I sort of skipped through this video because he didn't do a good job just giving out the straight numbers, but from what I saw he used only synthetic benchmark suites and also compared a 3770k, which I personally believe is a big waste of money. The 3570k would perform almost exactly the same for $100 less. Also, all the benchmark suites are multithreaded too, which doesn't lend credit to the extreme advantage intel has over AMD in IPC and single-threaded performance
wow ur 2 fps.
No, I'm not hating on intel, its a prefrance that i like amd, you cant take the loving fact that I don't and plus that I don't care for them in the first place, its not such a huge deal that I like amd more,
If it's only a preference you like AMD you should have said "I prefer AMD" instead of saying "intel is garbage". Preferences are fine but misinformed hate is not.
It's also relevent that the goverment killswitch was confirmed by intel and the anti theft thing applies for a goverment killswitch.
I already dropped that issue. It personally doesn't bother me, but if it bothers other people than that's a legitimate reason for preferring AMD (read: not a legitimate reason for just downing on intel)
You're also not understanding that just because intel has 2 more fps then intel that it doesnt make them overall better. I mean for forget sakes, AMD 8350 is as much as an i5 and its as good as i7's and you're also not understanding I hardly even play games anymore besides blockland.
You keep citing a 2fps difference when that's only the results of a single multithreaded game and not all kinds of games/programs.
I don't see such an issue with liking amd over intel and you say I don't like them because they are a more popular brand? No, it's just prefrance and it's not such a huge deal. Sorry I'm not siding with a brand that I don't like and that I think amd is better.
I don't see an issue with liking AMD over intel either. You're blowing this whole situation out of proportion by thinking that I'm trying to tell you that AMD is crap.

AMD is not crap
Intel is not crap
I only started this argument because you said intel was crap
Try to listen to what I'm actually saying and not what you think I'm saying

yeah forget per-core performance

The AMD FX 8 core should no doubt beat the i7 3770k and i5-3750k. Yes it has 8 cores, that means it's better, technically. The only reason it loses is because it's not optimized, it doesn't use all 8 cores like it should because no one bothers to optimize games/programs/OS for 8 cores.

I mean it looks to me more like that's the problem, it has no reason to lose against it in terms of raw power.

get a 6300. I think they are only like ten dollars more andd they are good
6300 CPU?

mk guys how about this.

let's stop arguing about intel/amd being better.

They have their strong suits and weak suits.

All we're doing here is fighting over unchangeable opinions, let's just all agree to disagree and let bygones be bygones.

Can we do that?

that's what I'm trying to tell nal... That's the argument

no, no it doesn't lol
i just provided benchmarks and you blatantly ignore them, gj gg

Did you make those benchmarks yourself? I don't trust benchmarks that much and they shouldn't be used to prove a point like yours because there's many factors that come into play.

lmao you're so butthurt about this

nobody here really looks like they're flipping out honestly

Alright, I think the rig is finally chosen and complete. I chose to keep the current CPU as well.

I don't trust benchmarks that much
they are still more reliable than simply you saying "fx-8 should beat i7-4700k"
they shouldn't be used to prove a point like yours because there's many factors that come into play.
why shouldn't they? they show performance of said cpu

I swapped the PSU. I own it too, it's actually good

except for nal
