What do you guys think about this build?  All of the parts not chosen I already have worked out.  Was thinking about the AMD FX-4130 until I saw what's on there now.

CPU AMD FX-6300
GPU Radeon HD 7790
Mobo Biostar TA 970

Already have the other parts squared away.
Pageloss.

Well, I have a 7770 and 4130 I'm currently playing BL at max settings, so... It also depends on your other parts. What are you planning on using for those?

What GPU would you guys recommend me for about $300?

About $50 over budget, if you are on a tight $300 get the 280X.

Oh yeah forgot the RAM

This is what I'll be using.
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133

Just finished putting together a build for a friend with a max $2000 budget, he said if I can go lower that would be great. So this is what I came up with.

Things he wanted in the build.
  • SSD, Big HDD for video and games.
  • Unlocked CPU for future overclocking.
  • Wireless Networking (Wi-Fi)
  • Nice Case.
  • CPU Cooler for future overclocking.

o

yeah i went and looked at the r9 280x and it competes against the 770 i was waaay wrong lol

So I'm in the market for a new case, cause my current one is a piece of junk (the front usb/headphone jacks don't work). I like simplistic cases with no flashy lights or any of that stuff

I'm thinking about getting this case, but it's kind of expensive ($110), so do you guys have any suggestions? I have a Mini-ITX mobo.

Well I know what im getting for christmas now B)

How important is it that my ram be essentially the same as the other stick? Also, I'm having a hard time justifying getting another 4 gigs, my system starts and runs apps perfectly fine, and I can have 10-15 tabs open on chrome and it still hasn't slowed down yet. I've heard that adding another 4 gigs won't really increase my game quality... So, why should I get another 4 gigs?

can someone tell me if one of these is decent for school stuff
as in
not spotty wifi
good battery
etc etc
