The human eye cannot distinguish individual frames past 24 constant fps.

Do you think it would really hurt if I get an IPS with 60 Hz and 5 ms?

Depends on the price.

one last quick question, any specific reason? Or just because there's not much difference between the two and it's cheaper?

There's a reason why 24 fps has been the industry standard for movies for quite some time now. However, some have started moving to 48 (including the hobbit pt.1), so I'll give you that

But no one knows the actual FPS limit of the eyes, because in a sense that's not how it works with our brains/eyes.
24FPS movies are a standard because they really don't need more FPS to display a nice fluid movie. But to perfectly represent things like blinking, flashes and other things the article says the FPS needs to be above 500.

How much would y'all recommend spending on a PSU? Pls suggest me some too.

I'm planning on getting an i5 4670k, which I also plan to overclock sooner or later, and one of the non-reference r9 290x's (most likely going to crossfire in the future).

Using http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp#footnote2 I estimated around 760W needed.

Thanks

this one will do nicely, plus it's fully modular and 80 plus gold certified.

dam that looks swank. Could I possibly go a little cheaper? It's like £160 over here :(

ok wait, could I just stay with 1 GPU atm and a lower wattage PSU and then SLI/Crossfire and upgrade my PSU in a few years time? Or would it be more beneficial to get a higher wattage PSU now?

I have 1 670 and I have a 760W. Just go with something over 700 watts.

Second one.  Might be the most expensive but it will save hassle and room in your case since its fully modular.
