whats up with the colors
and whats the rest of the specs
and why get 16gb of ram and an i7 when an i5 with 8gb will get the same game performance
assuming you're not doing video editing or something intensive like thatr9 270x, its 20 bucks cheaper but way worse

Because, good sir, Minecraft eats your RAM up like a jar of cookies. That is why. Its also very CPU intensive, and Ill be damned if I settle for less.

DID YOU ACTUALLY BUY AN i7 AND 16GB OF RAM FOR MINECRAFT
WHAT HTE forget
seriously, you should cancel your order and save some money
minecraft doesnt need more than 4GB of ram. it doesn't need anything above a 100 dollar cpu. you just blankly wasted money.
did you at least order a graphics card?

I already have a GTX 770 in my system, I needed to complete the system with new parts that are equivalent to the GTX 770 anyway.

ALSO DISCLAIMER: What I meant by Minecraft was things like 100+ mod modpacks.

i'm willing to bet that nothing you're replacing in your system was a bottleneck

i7 is not equivalent to a gtx 770. there is absolutely no difference in performance between an i5 and i7 in games that do not use more than 4 cores (such as minecraft). and not a single game on the market uses more than 8GB of ram. minecraft uses like, 2GB

overkill to the max, wasted so much money

I am building my brother a computer. Are these good quality parts and can I get a better deal (like an AMD GPU thats on par with the 760 for a cheaper price)?

Also, you have no idea how taxing Modded Minecraft is with that many mods.

yes, and those mods do not need 16gb and an i7. i really doubt they need anything above an i3 and 4gb of ram

Yes and I dont want to take any chances when I turn shaders and details up to the max and I want a good CPU -anyway- so I got what I got just because.

I have an AMD Phenom II X4 in the system right now and I cant sit back and enjoy these modpacks because of obstensive lag that ruins the gameplay.

quite a lot of things wrong with it. let me clean it up a little

do you read anything i say

yes. a celeron is probably faster than that phenom

Yes and I don't think a MicroATX MoBo would be the best choice.

omg you guys wtf

Accept that you're wrong and you wasted money. That's all there is to it

For that budget, there's not much more you would be getting feature-wise than a full-ATX motherboard. It will still fit into your full-size case fine

thats why i chose a nice, cozy, mini-itx case to go along with it
although that case you wanted would also work

there are no downsides to that motherboard really, it can still fit 2 video cards if you want to

Did you just give me a command? How about.. no.
