In another thread, Bisjac mentioned all the next gen stuff is coming out in the next few months, what does this actually mean in terms of not investing in your high budget build yet and waiting for all of it to come out. I'm assuming there aren't any next gen PSU's coming out.

Also, another question, how hard is liquid cooling to set up in a BitFenix Prodigy case? Has anyone done it before?

X99 chipset designed for enthusiasts. for just a normal gamer-builder this isn't of utmost importance

simple CPU cooler. nobody i know uses liquid cooling and it seems scary and can easily be messed up.

Also could someone put together a build that features one GTX 780 Ti card with the minimum of everything else that can keep up with it? I need to know what kind of price these sort of things fall at.

Lol, want to know what's quality? A friend of mine bought a used laptop from some place (has a decent rep too). His harddrive started making clicking sounds and failing a couple months after. So then he opens it up to replace the hard drive, and sees the hard drive has a sticky note saying "clicking sound" on it. (We went to a technical high school and took electronics so he was able to just open it up in class) I couldn't stop laughing.

Just wanted to share this story because I found it hilarious.

i've heard fully modular power supplies don't fit very well in prodigy's or can sometimes not even fit at all

are you sure this particular PSU fits?

the unlocked voltage version. literally (kinda) no limit to overclocking if you can keep the heat down.

world records were made with this version. until i guess titan black edition is out. unless it already is.

You don't just "open up" a hard drive "in class." Harddrives are created in extremely sterile rooms because even a speck of dust would render it completely useless. The areas they use to make hard drives would cost a stuffload of money for a school to obtain.

i think they nearly on par. i would likely just go with the 780 for the sake of being a newer model.

I need help with my fans. Because I got a cheapo motherboard, it has a 4 pin PMW for the CPU fan and a 3 pin for the case fan. I got a splitter for the 3 pin so I have two fans running on it, but the problem is, I think that both are running at full RPMs. I want to slow down the case fans, it's like sitting next to a jet. I cannot for the life of my me figure out how to use speedfan, and I have all my bios settings optimized for quietness.
 
What should I do?


And yes, I have an extra, useless splitter connected to the molex that I just haven't bothered to remove yet.

I actually chose a modular psu so you had more room in your case, in a small case like that, modular is the way to go

gtx 780 ti is better by just under ~10%
