By recycle he means strip systems' useable parts to use as a backup incase something happens or just sell them. I burnt my Xbox, stripped it and sold the parts.

Or maybe he means to tear apart components to make a new part or just to sell. Ex: the motors in HDDs.

i want to try this, idk if ext2 is any good though compared to ext4

You can't recover data from a SSD if something tragic were to happen (Ex: it gets wet in a flood or a power surge).
That's why you keep backups of your important data or keep the important data on cloud services.

It's not worth it imo.

It's the balance of the parts not the cost u dumbo.
Still it's cheaper. Lets just stop arguing, k?

yes well, not everyone does them.......

It's true that SSD are immune to mechanical failures and magnetic radiation but if a SDD would happen to get wet, you can remove the platters from a HDD but you lose your info on the SSD for good.

Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit $100 (newegg $94.98 (OutletPC)
Intel Core i7-4770S $310 (newegg) $295.99 (SuperBiiz)
CORSAIR Vengeance 12GB (3 x 4GB) $128 (newegg) $112.99 (Newegg) If you think they use Corsair Vengeance in this system you are as high as a kite
2TB Serial ATA Hard Drive - 7200RPM, 64MB, SATA  $120 (tigerdirect) $87.98 (OutletPC)
GeForce GTX 760 2gb $260 (newegg) $236.99 Amazon
Total: $918 with out a case or power supply According to the "necessary" items you listed it would be more like $828.93

I don't know buying the entire pc at one time seems to be cheaper. No.

Pretty much what spook said. Also, the spec sheet has pretty much no information about specifics of anything, including ram speeds and timings, and read/write speeds of the hard drive, psu wattage, expansion slots, etc. The build also has 1 year limited warranty on the parts, which is really laughable considering you could probably get 2+ years warranty for each individual part.

If you wouldn't mind doing a dxdiag or something on your system, I am 100% positive we could put together a build that is both superior to and cheaper than your current one.

Bought a 27" iMac the other day, looking forward to the beautiful 27" 1440p IPS goodness

ok so I got this laptop a while ago and I love it but I have a question

it only works all fast and smooth with games if it's on the charger, if it's not it's a piece of stuff

is this normal with laptops?

27 inch at 1440? Are you sure?
That's kinda gross...

Oh one of them wider ratios lol.
Thought it was a 1440x900 xd

ext doesn't fragment

I think ext4 is faster, but I don't actually know.

$2700 I'm crying.

OK, so where do you buy your parts from locally if possible?

There's this place called Micro Center that's not too far away from where I live, has a lot of parts, software, and other things necessary to build a PC. Also has a nice range of accessories, games, and other things.

I've been to that micro center, it's pretty nice. It's where I got my case, motherboard and CPU.
