Demand for DDR4 isnt high enough, so prices for DDR4 are pricy, also due to them being LGA 2011 exclusive for now because no LGA 1150 CPU that supports DDR4 is out yet.

When one does come out, you bet there will be an explosion in DDR4 demand.
