could i play bf4 on low or medium with that, 4 gb ram, and 730 gt?

I don't know the performance of the 730 but the CPU is capable.

EDIT: I googled it and yeah the 730 could play it on low decently.

Here soon I should be getting a job, I want to retire this old CRT monitor I've been using for the past few years. Whats a good one that I can look at for around ~$200?

They're all within your price range and have a good rating.
I'm gonna go with the third one, thanks.

Now I'm faced with another issue..

My particle board desk is falling apart, I noticed today that the desk was about to tear through the screw due to the sheer weight of the monitor. Had to put a board there to hold it.

Time to bring this thread back from the dead.
Oh wait, it was never dead.

How's this for a case? Thinking about going for an all-blue theme for my next rig and calling it the Blue Bomber.

That case looks entirely plastic.

Get a desk at IKEA.

That desk would work fine as long as you aren't putting hundreds of pounds on it

Get a desk at IKEA.
Unless you want to replace it after 2 years, this is a bad idea. I know from experience.

My current monitor weighs almost 40 pounds (17" Compaq 7500), that is all thats really weighing it down. All of its other support has been breaking down as well.
