120 for 5tb? Damn lol.

It was a seagate external drive, how could I say no to that price though

Well atm (at least until dx12) video card ram doesn't work that way. Video card ram acts as 4+4=4 instead of 4+4=8, so 2 titain zs would still just be 12 gb of ram.
At least that's how i think it works.
p sure that's how it works. SLI only recognizes the vram of one of your cards.

i feel like they had some of these cluttering and were like "here take em they might die on boot tho"

i'm still waiting on my cpu cooler to arrive. i have almost everything i ordered except for that, so i really can't do much building yet :(

To be fair i think it had to do with you putting way too much thermal paste on the cpu, not the cooler

Just get some $60 closed loop cooler. Worth every penny.

My 20 dollar Hyper T4 keeps me at a modest 60c while gaming.

dual cards will split the screen. 1 takes top half and the other renders the bottom.
they will each use thier own memory for the screen overlay resolution.

however thats the easy part. the main card is the only one that is using its memory for allllll them textures and 3d rendering resolutions. so basically yeah, only 1card is pulling the heavy load.

under heavy load my hotter card never breaks 40c
i use g10 kraken cooling

i only have one card and one of my case fans doesn't work too well
i guess i don't really have to worry about it because i should be done building my new computer sunday. too bad i won't get to use it much cuz i'll be in washington for most of that week

My GTX 650 idled around 40 C
Haven't seen what my 750 Ti idles at yet

I caved and ordered another 980. Will be:

i7 4790K (with custom watercooling loop)
2x EVGA 980 SC ATX 2.0 in SLI
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz
Asus Xonar DGX sound card
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3 motherboard
Corsair AX850 Modular PSU
250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD
500GB Samsing 850 EVO SSD

I plan on going to Memory Express tomorrow and getting a 2 TB HDD and a 128 GB SSD. What are some good brands for an SSD? I will probably get a Western Digital HDD.

Go with a Crucial MX100 or Samsung Evo 850. I know both of those are supposed to be the bees knees. Also why go for a 128GB  when most 256GB ones are only a little bit more
