So a Windows update fixed my resolution issue, I think my rig is now ready for gaming!

So my computer seems to have a track record of killing hard drives now: A 2 TB seagate HDD, Two 1 TB WD drives, and an old 80 GB drive. They all worked for a good while until they stopped showing up completely from the BIOS. Luckily datawise, only the former seagate HDD resulted in a major data loss, as all other drives got backed up in the event that this'd occur...anyways, I was finally forced to remove the latter two drives yesterday as my system started freezing randomly (mostly playing blockland). Another strange part about all this is that SSD drives seem to be unaffected by this. Would a power supply somehow cause this issue, since I extremely doubt this is just bad luck at this point, especially considering the PSU is no name brand. I'd like to hear someone's opinion on what could be causing this.

I am now posting this from my new Asus RoG gaming laptop recommended to me by SquartleTurtle. Thanks m8. It seems pretty cool so far. Gonna install steam ASAP and download skyrim, garrys mod and a few other games to it.

Let's see what this Galaxy-class Starship can do!

I own an Optiplex 755, and it was not booting correctly. It would startup auto and stay on, but only the Optical drives turned on and the fan. When it did turn on, the BSoD would appear moments later. This problem had been easily fixed by reinserting the RAM cards.

For those of you (which I doubt) who have this computer and this problem, here ya go.

Yay, my brother is letting me use his old i5 4440 before I have the money to pay for it. :D

No longer using that piece of crap Celeron.

Totalled the cost of my computer, it's now $690 without Windows. :P

Looks good to me if you really have that much to spend on a media machine, lol.

I'm thinking of getting a Corsair Hydro H100i, is it any good?

yah. all of the corsair water coolers are good. ive had the 100i before to.

Ok. I just think the NZXT Krakens look better, but I don't think it's worth the extra $40 or whatever. I'd rather ask for the Corsair + a small LEGO set or something for my birthday.
