While that's neat, I can type my password or hit Win + L faster than that. :v

I can't type my password faster than that...

You should really try for dual channel memory whenever possible.
It doesn't really matter though, at least not for causal web browsing/gaming: http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/1349-ram-how-dual-channel-works-vs-single-channel/Page-3

Could someone suggest a good ~$200 gpu? I would say a 960 but I just had a nightmare trying to install one for my friend and couldn't get it to work so I told him to return it. Every time I put it in the motherboard with no drivers, it would boot up and load windows fine. After installing the drivers and restarting the computer the windows 7 logo would appear saying loading windows, then the desktop wouldn't boot and the screen would go blank with the monitor saying no signal. So unless you are sure a different 960 will work, maybe try suggesting something else that's just as good? Are the R9 380's good?

did you plug your monitor into the 960?

did you plug your monitor into the 960?
Yes, bios would boot fine, loading windows 7 would appear, then nothing with no signal.

Make sure you have the power connectors plugged into the graphics card.

Trust me, I had everything right, enough power, right cables plugged in. I looked it up and other people were having the same problem but no definite fix.

do you guys know if there's like a degree as a computer technician, or do you take stuff like comptai a+ certification?

I dunno if anyone has answered this yet, but there is no degree just for PC tech, it's usually just a certification thing.

Unless he wants to go for a degree in Computer Science
