Just finished this to replace my old laptop.
Its a mini ITX build

Sorry about the mess but heil hydrate

Specs:
Intel Pentium LGA 1150 2 cores at 3.5 ghz
8GB 1600 DDR3 Ram
430W power supply
I left my 7770 in atlanta so its running intel HD for right now
Microcenter was out of stock in windows 8 so I had to go with 7.
Looks cool. I've always wanted to do a mini ITX build.

Working with the case was hell, i had to take out and put multiple components back in over and over because i would forget things like the 4 pin cpu power or the fan connectors
i didn't even setup the expensive ass wifi setup the motherboard has but i can always do that later

also holy forget intel sockets are nothing like AMD when you lock that processor down
i thought i broke it at first

i did it friends, i built my first pc

time to break it in ;)

Guys, I have two GeForce GT 6800 from XFX (Green model). One of them, on my stone-age PC isn't recognized neither by the BIOS nor by Windows. On my relatively-ontime PC, it gives a POST error. The second one is usable on both systems but it has a stuffload of random lines everywhere from boot to desktop. I got these from a PC shop that needed to make room. I was warned that they were sitting on the shelf for quite some time. Is it possible to revive one of them?

Also note that the one that shows random lines, it stopped showing them when I got to the desktop on first install. When I updated the graphics drivers, it began giving a bluescreen while booting Windows but it booted to safemode without an issue. (And with those lines again)

Nice!
i just noticed my ram is running at a low frequency, and i bumped it up to 2133 Mhz in my bios but now it says its running at half that. (1065).
Is that normal?

what's the POST error? if it's just beeping, what bios do you use? how many beeps and what length are they?

Phoenix BIOS. One short beep, beeps endlessly until unplugged.

wait is it a super rapid beep??

Pretty much. It would be the dot in morse code to compare it with something.

oh my god. my stuffty-ass laptop does the same stuff to me. i didn't think i'd find anyone else with this problem

The world's a small place.

I need to fix my wire management. It's a mess back there.

Yes it is.

The ram automatically clocks down when it isn't needed as much to conserve power.
