The motherboard temperature isn't a good indication for what your CPU/GPU temp would be so running it at full power with a molex adapter might be the better option.
Wouldn't you want to plug it in to your CPU fan connector though?
fair enough, though there are ways to have specific fan ports always running 100% no, the fan on the radiator is connected to the cpu fan connector
