im a lot more skeptic about the power supply like pecon said but i dont really have the proper tools to do a proper test on it to really see
i have a 430w ready, and i looked up the power requirements of a GTX 970, it uses 145 watts, and the cpu is an Intel Pentium so it only uses like 60 watts, and i dont have anything else on the PC besides an optical drive
wouldnt that be running the 430 too high? it would only be for a few days while i order proper testing equipment instead of just looking at all the voltages on voltage equipment and comparing it to the info on the box
all of the symptoms of the things that were happening to the computer before it just completely stuff itself are power supply failure symptoms but im not seeing anything like it on this new system with the same PSU, and there were no memory management blue screens after i changed the ram out, only system service exceptions
should i continue to run the 1000w while i get the equipment or just run the 430? i know theres nothing wrong with the 430 as it had run the mini itx as a server and it would stay on for multiple weeks at a time, but im not seeing any issues on the new mobo with the 1000w, and everything is running smoothly, and surprisingly faster than before. i would never think that an Intel Pentium could outdo my 6350 at 4.5 ghz
