Wouldn't that require you to buy a new CPU? I could've sworn your current motherboard is LGA-1155, though I don't know of any compatibility between the two

LGA 1150 is not the same as LGA 1155. That board won't work.

I did give you a list of motherboards that would be compatible with your system, I also posted an image of the specs of your current motherboard including its socket and chipset. Honestly you only have yourself to blame.
