did the manufacturer have any kind of warranty? we use tripp-lite at our house and when one of the batteries in ours dies, they've always replaced it for free.

What are UPS's used for anyway? Are they used for if when the power goes out, it prevents the PC from shutting down? Or is it only used for like saving power and such

uninterrupted power supply. not only does it give you a few minutes to save your work and safely shut down during a power outage, but they'll protect against surges, flickers, and brown outs. iirc they also act as some sort of "filter" for the power coming off the wall but i wont say much on that as im not certain.

Ah I see, thanks

they're a pretty good investment really, but a good one can be a bit pricey (i think that the model we have at my house runs about $140 or so, and we have 4 of em)

It's not everyone oddly enough, but it is a huge majority of people who are having these problems.

still no fix yet either :c

yeah i've also yet to run into any problems with my 1070

have you tried contacting nvidia support or anything? they might be able to help you more

Seriously considering getting the rx 470 whenever it comes out, which is supposed to be priced at around $200 CAD and perfect for 1080p gaming.
