finally got a 1070, for $400. it better be at my house on friday or someone will die
Are the prices improving?  Do they finally have enough supply?

unfortunately no, this particular model has been 400 on newegg since its release and as such went out of stock very quickly. i've been checking twice daily and they just restocked this card, so i jumped on the chance to get it

Nice. Can't wait to use the 1070 for 1080p gaming with everything else maxed out, plus graphics mods.

yeah im getting the ITX 1070 for my bitty comp.
its way overkill for 1080p gaming, but thats kinda the point lol

I'm just sitting here waiting for the RX 470 lol

I got most of my parts today, just waiting 2 more days for my founders 1060.

That is a game changer, it almost makes me want to get an ITX computer because my room is pretty damn small plus I'd be able to carry it around literally whereever.

my founders 1060.
lol wtf why you could have got an aftermarket GTX 1060 for cheaper

I'm about to buy more memory, can someone help me real quick
this is my motherboard. this is the ram I have now
I can just add more, right? like, I don't have to replace it necessarily? so I could just buy the same thing again and add it? I know I have two more slots
specifically I'm thinking about buying this

if it'll work. I think it will, but I'm not familiar with all the complexities of this stuff. I know the motherboard supports up to 32GB, and like I said, I have two free slots
the heat spreaders on top seem about the same size as those on the ones I already have, so I think it'll have no problem fitting

also the one I linked there is the same brand as the stuff I already have, and I've had no trouble with it so far, but if anyone has a better option (especially a cheaper one, if it's still of quality) that might be nice

Technically the 1070 is not overkill for 1080p gaming if you use 144hz monitor.

will they release a 3gb version for the 1060?

will they release a 3gb version for the 1060?

nah that turned out to be the 1050 announcment

will they release a 3gb version for the 1060?
The price difference between a 6GB and 3GB 1060 would be minimal, it wouldn't be worth sacrificing that.

Well the human eye can't see past 30FPS...

I bought it
if it doesn't work I am holding each and every one of you personally responsible

surely this is a joke

I've been working on getting parts for my computer build for a while. I remembered my grandparents have this computer from about 20 years ago, and if you know me you know I love 90s/2000s aesthetics, so I got approval from my grandmother to gut it for the case. They haven't even turned it on in about 10 years, so they obviously didn't care that much about it. I carefully took out each part and placed it in a box and then cleaned the case. What do you think?

I tried figure out what the model of the case was to no avail. I found extremely similar models, but not this one in particular. I believe it's somewhere in the range of a Mid ATX Super 2000 9XXX. I also wanted advice from any computer build experts here as to whether or not I can put new parts in this successfully or if it will need modifications. I think I might keep the CD/DVD/Floppy drive in it too. Should I replace those?

P.S., if you need more pics i'm happy to take more.
