Yes we can do that, especially since I have some community service scheduled for Wednesday actually. So neither one of us would be able to make it. Is it ok with everyone else that the build day is moved to this friday? This gives us more time to think of what to actually build (Lol)

ok

And by the way Rem, pretty please (with a cherry ontop ofc) update the OP :c

count me in. perhaps we could do a hotel or apartment block

Do we want to build something functional, or monument-esque? How about a desert resort?

I thought it would be cool to do something including terrain. Perhaps like a medieval village with terrain around.

Well with the fact that Rem has built a resort already, I feel that we should build something different to prevent any form of comparison or relation.

I have 2 ideas:

I always thought it would be cool for AoB to have a cathedral! columns and arches everywhere *climax*

(One random exterior and one random interior to show a cathedrals general architural awe)

OR

Maybe we can make like a small little perhaps 5 or 6 building block of like an italian neighborhood in new york or something, with a pizza shop and a bakery and some apartments and a little bar at the block corner where the mob hangs out lol (like the movies)

Let me know what you guys think!

I like the cathedral idea. BTW, seeya guys! I'm leaving in an hour and 15 mins!

I've never attempted a catherdral build, but I've seen plenty of them. I'd have to study some of that sort of architecture, which I'll do in the next couple days.

We've moved the build session to Friday, yes? What's the time frame?

Yes, I just checked right now and I was not able to forward my ports for Blocklands 28000, so in the advanced settings when starting a server I just changed the port to 25565 and it works perfectly fine. My Blockland server is officially being run through Minecraft's port lol. I will have the server up from 11:30am to 2am (the next day) Pacific Standard Time. Did we decide on the cathedral or are we still open to ideas?

Sorry to bum y'all out but my plane to Vancouver failed because of a passport problem, but I will now be arriving from Las Vegas on the same date.

Texted from my iPod Touch in an airport terminal I've been in for a total of 8 hours.

What does the luxury of traveling feel like? Lol, anyways, you will still be able to make it friday right?

Yes, I'm now in my hotel(by the strip), and am going to plan to take a flight back to my hometown(shall remain nameless) sometime in the afternoon on Friday. I should arrive home in an hour and a half of flying, so I will have plenty of time.

A few things I need specified...

What server will this build be on? General Jake's?

What time are we doing this? I am GMT -7:00.

To answer your question, Bishop, lemme just tell you how It went after we got out of the plane. We drove for a while at 2:00 AM to our hotel. As we arrived, we remembered we had to go back to a grocery store and pick up food to sustain us over the vacation. We entered the hotel lobby, and asked to check in. The old geezer behind the desk did not find us on the reservation list. While my dad worked it out, I sat in the lobby starved and sleep deprived for another hour, then he finally found our reservation. We had to go up to the highest floor, and walk to the end of the hall before we could get in. And when we did, before we could pick a room to sleep in, we had to put away groceries. As soon as we were finished, I happily flopped onto the bed assigned to me in the room, and fell asleep, occasionally waking up in the middle of the night.
Vacations - fly during the day, not at 11:00 PM.

But on the topic of building, I believe yes, I would enjoy building a cathedral. I have a lot of experience in the field of large gothic builds. So I'm with the YES group on the cathedral.

I think I'll create an off topic section about my vacation updates...

Well due to having the combined brickcount of the HQ and University at Jakes server, I was planning on being the host so we can start with a fresh 0 bricks on the server.

EDIT: Just to clarify, it is not an official AoB project or and official AoB server, its just something that we are all building to show off in the gallery and publicize our skill more.

I think it would be cool if we created just the cathedral, then, if it got good replies, we would add a bit more to it, and eventually create something like a city, all of high quality.

Of course, this build will take more than one day, right? It'll just start on Friday?

Also, if Bishop is unable to host, I can host occasionally, but not always(I need to be at my dad's house).

BTW, if you guys want to know more details on the vacation with images and updates, just check out my off topic topic.
