Desert storm was started to remove Saddam Hussein from power according to the US government.
We went into Saudi Arabia to kill Osama bin laden.
Nuclear power is a good solution if we can actually figure out safer methods to do it.
we went to iran to supposedly find weapons of mass destruction.
I'm pretty sure everyone can agree that oil is not a good solution if you want to keep plankton and everything that eats it alive

Apparantly taxes + blockland forums = reply frenzy/borderline stuffstorm

Can you please open a history textbook

It would cost more money to attack North Korea than it would being in Iraq/ Afghanistan, and it's not that hard to obtain missiles these days.  You are also not some military expert and just think that cutting the budget "a little bit" will still give us a proper defense.  I must be missing something but where is this magical $300 billion figure coming from?  Look at how much our servicemen are being paid currently.  Just think about how much they would make if our spending was cut in 3
North Korea is a tiny country, especially when you realize that in order to defeat it, you attack 1 city. One city. Think of how WWII went, where cities were destroyed in literally days.

Also, that $300 billion dollar figure was just an example, cutting the current cost in three. As for how much our servicemen will make, they won't. They will go back home, be with their families, get jobs, boost the economy.

1. North Korea will put every man, woman and child to fight and that is a huge military
2. what jobs?

Not to mention we can fund Wind power.
Wind is just as bad. I live near by a stuffLOAD of windmills, literally. Let me check my phone for a pic. Here. Look at that, that's a whole loving lot of windmills. That's just a small patch of them too, that's like 1/18th the size of the entire farm. It's just incredibly inefficient. They cost a good bit to produce anyway.

Maintenance.. so much..

No you! We can kill two birds with one stone by eliminating obesity and our energy crCIA. You'll all see!
An obese person can knock down two birds way better than a stone now that I think about it.

forget all y'all, I voted for Obama. Still rooting for that sucka.

Well, 1) I assume you don't live that near to them because they are an obnoxious distance from anything else in or near Los Angeles, except Casinos (Yes, I'm pretty sure I know exactly where that is) 2) They are supplementing the city of Los Angeles. It's loving huge. It needs all the power it can get. I always wondered why they were off though, because it seems like none of them are spinning.

I don't live in LA. You're right, I don't live right by them, but it's on the drive to the desert and I go there quite frequently. So, it's within an hour drive from me.

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Also, just a note, I thought of a design for Windmills. Lets just use simple figures here, but lets say that for every 1 watt put into powering the windmill, we get 1 watt for each turn of the mill. Now, that means that an engine could turn the windmill once, then gravity and wind could turn it 3 more times. That's a 1 to 3 return on your energy. I'm not sure if this would work, but I would like someone to explain to me why not. (I'm not being obnoxious here, I would honestly like someone to tell me, I'm not a windmill engineer.)

If you were talking about the location of OBL's death it was in Pakistan
But we went INTO Saudi Arabia in order to find him. This is a direct result of George Bush being a dumbass.
