Author Topic: Steam Box finally created.  (Read 2747 times)

Non-steam games?
Considering you can just run those normally on your PC or console, and that the supposed Steam-Box is optimized for Steam, probably not.
You're asking to run standard PC games on a mini-PC/console specifically made to run Steam and Steam-based (most likely only Valve games at this point) games.
You might as well ask Valve to put together a normal size gaming PC, slap some steam logo stickers on it, and install Windows 7 64-bit with the steam logo as the wallpaper.
You'll be able to easily install windows on it, according to Gabe Newell.

It looks like a rounded OUYA.

So those things are actually like a platform which could hold Steam's stuff, but probably won't as there will be some later version which will.

A Steam Box*.  Not Valve's particularly.

someone will instantly make a companion cube case
i would buy it
It would be more of a companion rectangular prism

This is only one of many different kinds of Steambox.

it clearly says piston on the side of the device
why is everyone saying steambox
