What should we do about the doors?

Stick with admin only JVS
Switch to Legacy Doors

I refuse to completly remove jvs doors from the game because I like them, and I will keep them on my server as long as I want. Disabling jvs can be a choice but you know Badspot, your bricks models are not the best. Also, they are 1x6x1, I would like 1x5x1 too.

Are you still using that inefficient thing that writes a file for every single entry
How is it inefficient?

It uses so many files!
That's not inefficient. It's fast, and takes up barely more space than one bloated file that takes forever to open. If you go with one file, eventually you're gonna have it take absurdly long to save and load. While you'd only have to load it once at the start, you have to save it periodically or you risk losing tons of progress in a server crash.

The exec(path) and .save(path) functions are insanely fast.
It took less than 1/2 of a second to save a complete database with 2,000 entries which have 20 values each.

Also I'm using a SSD, I figured it doesn't like reading and writing hundreds or thousands of files.

I- I-

Oh my

SSD's are built to read and write mass amounts of files as fast and efficiently as possible, not to sit and be an expensive paper weight.

Long term, though, that one file can become much bigger than 2000 entries, and with the mod's expansion, much more than 20 values. Keeping a file for each person means you never have to load data you don't need, and the amount of time loading takes is determined only by the amount of data stored per person, rather than that times the number of people who have ever joined the server.

Jasa, your crp is dead what are ya gonna do to make everyone play it again?

Here are a few points that may help the CRP

The Map. Its a great map, but it consists of too many bricks for its size. The server is unplayable on my brand new laptop, and my desktop with a GeForce 9600GT struggles. The Fix? make the map take up more physical space, while lowering the brick density. Maybe make two smaller towns instead of one big one. Also, go old style and use road baseplates. They save alot of bricks in the long run.

Degrading paychecks. Sure, it adds a bit of realism to the game, but it is killing the server. If you are a cop, and it is a slow day, you literally can't do your job because there is nobody on the server to jail. This results in nobody wanting to be online when no one is on, which results in no one ever being on.

CRP GUI. Sure, its a great feature, but the GUI needs to be an additional and OPTIONAL feature. The old commands are still useful and honestly are way faster than manually navigating through the GUI.

And my personal request...
Arson. Speaks for itself. Perfect for creating ironic situations.

You could save on bricks if you made the roads a brick itself. Including the area under it.

You can't make roads a brick unless you want them to be the same color. In reality your graphics must suck, I run the city on max draw distance with my rubbish intel/amd graphics combo. Of course no shaders, but shaders blow anyway.

Yea I think most of us agree on the paycheck, but as started by Jasa, its annoying which is what it is supposed to do...
