Author Topic: Why in the name of hell do we sit in a corner during a lockdown at school?  (Read 7197 times)

I've always wondered why we all sit in one corner during a lockdown drill? It seems illogical that we would all sit in one corner of the room where you can usually still see out of the door. It seems like the worst way to prepare, considering if somebody with a gun does enter the room it's quite easy for them to gun down 30 some children in a corner.

Can anybody explain this way of preparation?

They were once in school.
They know the times for school.
WHATS THE POINT OF LOCKDOWNS?
IF IT DOES stuff!
I live like a block away from my school, so I could run home, get self defence weapons, and kill that forgeter.
Before police could even get there!

I highly doubt your ability to "kill that forgeter" especially if he has an assault rifle and is taller than you.

Usually so the teacher can count heads easily, i guess. Last time i had a lockdown i was in there for 2 hours. Best part: my girlfriend was in there.

In reality though by the time you ran home he'd have killed a lot of people and you probably wouldn't be able to bring yourself to shoot the guy yet alone willingly go back there after you've seen people being gunned down.

Because maybe if we all act reeeeeeeally quiet then the murderer prowling the halls will think we're not there, and fall asleep.

My English teacher (a sassy black lady in a white woman's body) won't let us answer the door to her classroom after the Newtown shooting. She says it's to "protect her babies".

They'd prob just have a handgun.
A 45 cal, makes a hole and spins you around.

The inability to bring even plastic knives into some schools seems fairly counter-productive. If some suicidal maniac runs into your class, you should have the ability to at least defend yourself. Fists aren't exactly effective weapons.

They worked for Chuck Norris.

A class full of people swarming over one guy, hitting, kicking and scratching him and that isn't effective?

They are if you have the Fists of Steel perk.

Not if they have armor and/or guns/knives.

Not if he's high on bath salts and has guns.

multiple guns. literally, raining guns.

during a real lockdown you can't do much
getting in a corner and crouching over is a false feeling of safety thing blah blah blah safer than running outside nude during a tornado

"Whenever I try to go gun down a school everyone seems to be gone..."
