Hey, everyone! Let's play a game where everyone has to convince an unpleasable little stuff such as myself to want a Wii U for his birthday, which is in about 2 weeks from now.

Super Smash Bros. 4
Super Smash Bros. 4
Super Smash Bros. 4

Did I say Super Smash Bros. 4?

there is little reason to get one right now
i'd wait till some of the good games are actually released

Super Smash Bros. 4
Super Smash Bros. 4

Okay, that's 1 reason, but buying a console for just one game isn't really going to do much good, is it?

Anyone else?

(Also, just let me mention that I love online play more than anything else in the world)

Then you should wait until the Wii u has more games that are online that aren't multiplats.

It doesn't have monthly fees for internet bullstuff.
It doesn't have any "Playstation Home" bullstuff.
It doesn't have any "Playstation Premium" or "Xbox Live Gold" bullstuff.
Nintendo 1st Part titles.
Virtual Console (You can download games from past consoles to play with an official Nintendo emulator and an awesome controller)
Its really easy to set up.
It doesn't cost much for a home console.
Has a lot of innovation and nice tech in the gamepad.
Good for party games (I have played Nintendoland with my friends, we spent about 5 hours once playing on and on and having loads of fun).

Most flaws that the console has are being fixed like lack of games and long(-ish) loading screens. Biggest forget up so far on the loading screens is Lego City: Undercover. That game has loading screens so long you can basically call them commercial breaks.

And if you buy a deluxe you get 10% of your virtual purchase back in the form of points

How did i activate that bonus again?

The only fee that you have to play that has to do with online membership is $0.25 for users other than the free original one.

What... What do you mean?

The first account you make while setting up your Wii U will have free membership to that Nintendo online service stuff, not to mention internet itself.

After that you have to pay only 25 cents for internet in other user's accounts.

Anything confirming this?
