Don't forget the God Hand review as one of their flip flops.

How the forget can they give God Hand a 3/10 but give CoD: MW3 a loving 9/10?

I'm so sick of stuffty Mario games these days. They pump out cookie-cutter NSMB's like Activision does CoD's, and the gameplay is so bland and monotonous that I never finished NSMB2 or NSMBU. Super Mario 3D Land had the same drawbacks - it was just an NSMB with a little bit of 3D. But the linearity, lime limit, and flagpole ruined it. Why can't we have a game with unique, fun levels, like the first 4 3D Mario games?

I hope 3D World will be better, but I honestly don't think it will be. It looks like Super Mario 3D Land but prettier. Also, please don't mention Sticker Star and how they managed to forget up an amazing series that had 3 amazing games.

lol, i'm not even aware if sonic lost world is good or bad but what i do know is that i will never, and i repeat, never trust IGN when i'm unsure if i should buy a game or not. IGN has some of the worst reviewers ever, if not the worst.

I thought GameBomb had decent reviews but lately they've just been giving every decent game a 100.

3D world seems pretty good look at the features from a different perspective, there trying out a new less linear(?) world map. New power ups like the double cherry and the potted piranha. You got new stuff to collect like rabbits and green stars which are the replacement for star coins and certain levels require more and less green stars to be found.

NSMB2 and Sticker star are basically the detroit of mario games.

But the levels themselves are still linear, and green stars are still optional.

Timer too long? That's the only problem I see.

No, the timer's existence at all is the problem.

How so? Have you ever played a classic Mario game?

Yes, but that's exactly where timers should stay - the 2D games. Having a timer in a 3D game limits your exploration and should only be used in speed challenges or races, and never the main missions.

The timer is there so you can't take your time like walking instead of running an entire level. Your supposed to quickly look for the stuff you need then beat it and come back later.

That's why I'm not a huge fan of Super Mario 3D Land. I don't want to be rushed, I want to look for the secrets which should be abundant. I want to walk around and discover the level, not find an arrow pointing towards a flag.

It could just be me and my dislike for linearity.

On an unrelated note, anyone with Mario Kart 7 should totally play with me.

This.
In other words, skill.

super mario 3D land was great
my only issues:

1. it was a bit too easy
2. the level design was a bit blocky
