Author Topic: The Cave  (Read 1390 times)

The Cave is a new adventure game from Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion creator Ron Gilbert, and Double Fine Productions, the award-winning studio behind Psychonauts and Brütal Legend. Assemble your team of three from seven unlikely adventurers, each with their own unique personalities and stories, then descend into the mysterious depths...

The Cave is about 7 very different people with 7 very different abilities, each entering The Cave with their own goal in mind, from making an incredible scientific discovery to winning a stuffed bear for a special someone. You must choose a group of 3 to traverse most of The Cave before having to conquer each character's unique stage. If you want to learn more, I suggest checking out Northernlion's early review of the game.

You can buy The Cave for $15 USD on Steam (PC/Mac/Linux), Xbox Live, Playstation Network, and WiiU eShop

An interesting puzzle game?

so I just reloaded the store page to check the time left

:|

They seem to have delayed the pc version a day :(

The Steam version of The Cave will go live this afternoon PST. Sorry for the delays.
(Steam is currently showing ~14 hours,) We're the ones that flip the switch, so that is just wrong.

Bugs!

i like the sound of it
but what exactly is it, 3d or platformer, first or third person
i can't look at videos, iOS 6 + YouTube + my iPod = disaster

oh wait there actually are images
and every single one is broken for me wtf

it's after 2pm PST, so if Ron is right it should be out on steam fairly soon

The Cave on Steam should be live in 30 minutes. Maybe less if you press the refresh button a whole bunch of times really fast.

the store page says it's out but it looks like it'll take a minute to be able to start installing

there we go

It's with realistic people!

just finished my first playthrough, incredible game

it's going to take forever to complete it fully though, which is probably a good thing considering how relatively short it is
