Eh, only the first time really, then it pretty much only hurts if you dont use lube.

I think you'd have to have "a thing" for it in order for it to feel really good, but from what I've heard (heard!) it's still worth it for most people who have tried it, "thing" or not

I use q-tips covered in vaseline, but I've heard of people progressing to the point where they can use pencils, or even their pinkie finger.
