I've done a few things to make a place within the blockland players. all attempts have failed and just made more people angry.

I've tried making a server (Failed, too laggy and now no one can kill each other anyways)

I've tried making a clan (Meaning was misinterpreted and I was flamed)

I've tried making a newspaper like thing (Flamed severely)

I've tried just building (Kicked and banned for spam. I don't spam, they just think it is)


Let me explain the internet: If your a noob, you will never stop being a noob. If your a newb, people classify you as a noob and you always stay a newb unless you become a noob. If your neither a noob or a newb you can branch out, unless you become a noob/newb, then your screwed.


and I ask you, players of blockland...WHAT THE HECK DO I DO FOR YOU PEOPLE TO FIT IN?

Join a few servers and chat for a while. Get to know some people, then you'll be more well known.

The only reason I was able to fit in was cause I joined early (when BL debuted on TSS), that was back when the forum was more of a Blockland forum and not a flame haven.

Sorry, but that's not even true. No matter what anyone says, you're still going to be interpereted to be a noob for the next year. An excelent way to avoid this is to get a lot of fame, from spamming the master server repeatedly, or something. After you prove you're not a manace anymore, you can cut your noob rate off in a week.

I proved myself to the community because I made very odd, large and crazy maps, along with odd random items and weapons, my chat mods received alot of attention, and me and someone else (can't remember his name) made the first crouch racing track, then me and sonicknx made crouch racing a fad. (creds to dabanana and snot for giving us the idea)

I would personally like to apologize for anything negative I may have said to you, commondragon. I apologize for flaming you, insulting your newspaper, and kicking/banning you. I don't know what I was thinking at the time, and I sincerely apologize.

I understand how hard it is trying to fit in, trust me, I was there once. I was flamed quite a bit, kicked, banned, you name it. Eventually I found my place among some friends and now everything is great.

Get yourself a group of friends. Find some people who share interests with you, and keep them close. Because, the truth is, the internet is a cold, cruel place. People really don't care about other peoples' feelings here. But if you get yourself a group of good friends, you'll have fun.

Again, I'm sorry for the things I may have said/done to you.

The very very first time I installed Vanilla (about 3 a.m after I saw a re run of TSS) and joined my very first server, there was just me and some guy with an afro, he was building a tower, I was browsing controls and saw the talk feature, I said "hi" and he said "f*ck you no one wants you, get the f*ck out" (uncensored of course).

I probably shouldn't be posting, since I was a 'noob/newb' for about 2 weeks(less?), but whatever.

You need to find your niche, don't exert yourself or try to force yourself into it(by making clans/'major' threads).  People flame you when you act in a way that does no befit the station you are in, just stick to your place and you will rise over time.  Don't complain, just try to find your way of flowing with the community, what works somewhere else on the internet may or may not work here.

tl;dr : Wait for people to start liking you, most of the people we hate to the extreme are those who try so hard to please, fail, then get angry and try to piss us off more.  Just don't walk around acting like something you're not.
