Either way seeing as you're getting an extra 8gb on the Samsung one while paying less money for it, go for Samsung.

I have a 240GB intel SSD and it has lasted around 4 years so far with heavy usage

The write speeds are faster on the Intel.
The Samsung 830 series is outdated, go for the newer 840, if you are sticking with Samsung.

If quality and performance are the same, then looks are the only thing that matters. Well price matters too.

The Intel has a very nice aluminium finish and as I have said before, that samsung is outdated.
