Will you be able to use a generated server preview style image of the build?

That would be cool.

No the previews will be proper renders of the build done from various angles and megashotted for awesome quality.

Each add-on uploaded to RTB has all the uinames and datablock names in that add-on indexed so it's trivial to look at the uiname used in a save file and compare it to RTB's index of uinames used in add-ons.
Different brickpacks can contain bricks with the same uiname that are completely different things.

RTB will prevent you from uploading an add-on if it uses an UI name already used in another add-on.

Why am I getting loads of doubled brick uiname errors if I only enable brickpacks from RTB?

RTB won't prevent you from uploading things with matching uinames as other addons but it will warn you about it. There's only so much I can do before addon makers need to take responsibility and make sure they use accurate specific uinames.

The system will do it's best to determine what you need to download from the submissions that make use of that uiname by looking at other bricks used in the file and making a close guess. It'll work most of the time and that's good enough for me.

Hasn't this been glitching lately? Whenever I try to take a megashot I get weird artifacts in the picture. How will this be avoided?

I've not had the issue, either way I'll figure it out.

The sound of RTB Buffet makes me hungry for more. ;)

Good to see you're back at RTB development.
I cannot wait until the next updates.

generate a number of different screenshots you can pick from to showcase your submission.

Hitting the load button would give the user a temp brick similar to the duplicator which would allow them to place the prop in the server and then do whatever they want with it.
Questions:
Do you have to use a generated image or can you upload your own?

If you plan on submitting a large sized build with a file size of over X.gb will the whole duplicator mover thing be ignored so the server won't lag or will you have to submitt the build in parts?

Will the build require a sort of spawn plate for the mover?

There will be generated images but I think I'll allow submission of your own (although you won't be able to do this from ingame).

The system is more for props and small parts not an entire build so there wouldn't ever be a case where a submission is that big. There will be dimension restrictions and brick count restrictions and such.

The prop temp brick will basically be a custom brick which is essentially a large plate with a border, you'll need to build on one of these in order to submit your prop too.

Can't you convince badspot to fix up the tcp objects

Maybe, but I won't make plans that hinge on what Badspot does or doesn't decide to do.

What about the ability to make your own chat rooms? That button has been sitting there for a while...
