Doesn't matter what engine you use, nor does it matter how many people are working on the project. I noticed their are lots of Animators and modelers that let their skill go to waste. Soooooooooo, here we are. Here we will list a bunch of Free and simple engines to advance engines like Cry Engine 3....

3D Engines
(You can get free versions of all these, these are my top choices)
Torque 3D (Free)

NeoAxis (Free)

Cry Engine 3 SDK (Free)

Unity 3D (Has a free verison, but sadly to get stuff like Shadows and shaders, you need to purchase the full version)

3D Rad (Pretty bad imo)

Delta3D (Really old)

Unreal Engine

2D Engines
(Free only)

Love 2D

SDL (C++)

(tell me more)

List of ongoing projects within this forum

A small FPS game - (by me)

Are you a modeler looking for a team?

If so then come here! Just post if you want to be added.

Tips & Advice

1. Use an engine that EVERYONE in your team can use and grasp on easier. (I suggest using NeoAxis at first, then advance to something else)

2. Don't over do things

3. Make sure your animations are as smooth as can be

4. Make sure your game has at least 2 supported platforms (Mac & Windows most likely)

5. Make sure lighting works for both people who cannot run Shadows and Shaders and for people who can. (Otherwise some of your games surprises and stuff will be taken away by the lighting)

6. Make a small demo to start with.

7. Use good textures

8. Don't get mad if you don't succeed at first.

Finding a basic job in the game development

Since really no one here is an actual licensed developer. Don't expect to get paid for what you do....  If you're leading a project, or want someone to lead a project. Look here.

Plenty of free models, I suggest modifying some to your liking.

Remember, this is only here so that everyone has a chance to share what they are making or what they want to make. Doesn't matter even if you have an idea, please share. I'm sure their is someone who wants to help.

I'll add more to this OP once people start sharing.

Since when was Blender a game engine? I never saw that feature before.

Since when was Blender a game engine?

It's been one for awhile now.

I'm going to use Cry Engine to make my senior project (A Video Game)

You can't compile and distribute your game so it's useless

I only put up engines I know of so. yeah.

What genre?

except that blender isn't an engine.

put SDL (C++) in the 2D game section

Why for either of these?

Why for either of these?
"It doesnt work on mac this game is the stuff"
"No linux? this game is the worst garbage ever!"

"FIX DEM stuff I CANT SEE ANYTHING BECAUSE I PLAY ON A TOASTER"

Why for either of these?

It's just a tip to get more of an audience, don't really gotta listen to it.

Well on certain games, if you made the game with shadows on you may expect others to play with them on and you might add something that hidden in the shadows. If someone turns off shadows they'll be able to see the hidden items and stuff.

Again, they are just tips so. yeah

I thought this was going to be a thread where we share games we've made, not this... whatever this mess is.

I am working on an actual game though, But I'm lazy so I have no idea when that'll be done.
It's about a dinosaur in space that explodes from an asteroid and turns off all the planets.
