Author Topic: The Mabrix (Blockland Matrix)  (Read 940 times)

Ok! So after seeing matrix again, I got inspirational and stuff. I whipped up a short teaser so far, but I want to get into some kick ass production. If anyone is interested in acting in the movie, tell me which role you want and your BL_ID. Fyi, this is going to be the first Matrix movie, "Matrix". For the teaser, here is a link. Make sure to watch in HD for the best feeling of action.. I guess..

seriously. is this the best you can come up with? hurr hurr blockostrike blockocombat blockbox counterblock forget you and EVERYONE YOU KNOW there are SO MANY MORE PUNS and interesting plays on word that are appropriate to _BLOCK_land (NOTE: THIS IS THE ONLY APPROPRIATE USE OF THE SUFFIX BECAUSE IT IS STARTING THE TREND FOR _OTHER PUNS TO BASE OFF OF_).
actually, no, this is almost worse since you only replaced one letter in a mildly clever fashion

Well done. It's short and simple.
Also I really liked the text effects at the end

This... "movie," is not worthy of being a Matrix spin-off.

The sets look god awful, no good scenery, and the title isn't even that clever.

And, can you get the actor to at least look like Neo, and not that GARBAGE avatar?

The only good thing was the green coding, but otherwise it's horrible.

A video needs a clever title to be good?
The title has nothing to do with video quality

I admit the sets could use quite a bit more effort, but the timing was pretty good and it wasn't all that bad. It's just a 48 second short, and one of his first by the looks of his channel.

This, and a clever name.

A video needs a clever title to be good? Not really, but it's just awful. If this became a classic, I don't wanna have to remember calling it "Mabrix."
The title has nothing to do with video quality I never said anything about that, smartass.

I doubt it will become a classic to be honest. So you don't need to worry about that.
And I wasn't being a smart-alec, >:( you were explaining why the "movie" was bad, and included that bit about the title in your explanation. Which I assumed implied that you thought the title made the video quality worse.

I admit I didn't read the entire OP, I thought it was just a short. Abstract, if I were you I would probably put in a bit more practice in making videos before you think of making this into a big video project. The sets aren't as good as they could be, and you probably should practice and learn a bit more about making videos first.

Oh, sorry. My apologies.

Ok everyone I'm sorry if you hate the name so badly, but instead of hating so much, how about give ideas and be positive.

Also Mysteroo, the scenes within the video were not the actual sets, just something I could whip up quickly to make a trailer. Basically, the trailer I have is the "brainstorming" of the film.

grey and duplicated buildings are so cool!

In the future- even if it is just a trailer, put a bit more effort into the build. The build is going to contribute to how good the trailer looks, and even if it is just kind of for brainstorming, that will help you brainstorm what sets you can use for the video.
