Killing floor, previously a mod of Unreal Tournament,
is a full-fledged game on steam for $20. It's a first-person survival horror, based around leveling your "
perks", surviving several waves until the last round, and acquiring weaponry from the trader.
Certain perks give your benefits towards certain things such as making guns more powerful, cheaper and various other things. All of the perks are:
Field Medic: The perk who heals everyone. Not only are the medic guns a lot cheaper, but you get money from healing! Instead of normal grenades, this perk throws medic grenades which emit a healing aura.
Support Specialist: The perk with shotguns, welding and more inventory space. You weld faster, and deal crazy damage with the shotgun.
Sharpshooter: This perk uses pistols and rifles to headshot everything. Sniping has never been more rewarding!
Commando: This perk uses automatic rifles better than anyone else. It's really good with clearing out mobs of specimens.
Berserker: This perk went insane after the Horzine incident. Good thing your lust for bloodshed was met with any melee weapon nearby.
Firebug: This perk uses fire more than any other perk. High damage and lots of death is a good thing. Instead of normal grenades, this perk throws fire grenades.
Demolitions Expert: Self-explanatory. Blowing things up is easier than you thought. Uses a more powerful set of grenades, but keep your distance from your own firepower!
Basically you're fighting zombies (err, specimens..) on the streets of several different locations. There's a handful of enemies which you will face in your career.
Clot: Your standard specimen. Weak, but they will grab you. Usually mobs players, ganging up and ripping them to shreds early on.
Gorefast: Faster than a clot, and equipped with a nasty arm-blade. They will charge you, and start carving you into it's next meal. Notorious for surviving headshots.
Bloat: Fat and explosive. These guys puke acid bile, and if they die, they blow up into the acid bile. Keeping your distance is a good idea.
Stalker: These invisa-bitches sure do love going invisible, sneaking up and taking out a large chunk of your health. Good thing their cloaking device sucks and they're easy to spot.
Skrake: These guys wreck stuff on a daily basis. They charge at you, and use their chainsaw arm to kill you quickly, and aren't phased by damage. Do NOT walk or jump backwards when caught by one, it causes more damage.
Husk: These guys shoot fireballs at you, and are really tough. They aren't a real bother unless you're at low health and they're sniping you.
Crawler: AKA Bane of Berserkers. They're small, fast and deadly. They love to invade in groups, and they take out more armor than health. Remember, crouch and slice!
Siren: God, do they ever shut up? Their screams deal an area-of-effect damage that completely ignores armor, and deal a lot of damage. Kill them first in every group.
Fleshpound: These guys start appearing after a few waves. They're extremely powerful, and they will kill anyone who gets close. Throw your grenades, keep your distance and hope there's only one in the group of specimens.
Patriarch: After all the waves are over, the Patriarch spawns. He is the boss. He cloaks and heals, grabs you with a tentacle arm, shoots you with various weapons and takes a long time to kill.
As an added bonus, there's a variety of maps to play on in Killing Floor, and that's not even mentioning custom maps! (Credit to John Freeman for taking the time to make this and being super cool)

Pretty much one of the best games I've ever bought, and I would recommend it to everyone who doesn't have it! Plus, did I mention it's fully moddable and compatible with steam workshop?[/list]
