Gun mod

Tried it out, pretty neat.

However there are some that just overlap same old functions, because I've already a sniper rifle that does the exact same thing the 'phantom bullet' does, as well as the plasma gun that does the bouncy energy ball thing.

Still pretty neat overall

A lot of this game just seems to be mining. I'm fine with that though.

So I have a quick question, I'm still new to this game so bare with me.

Is there any point in leaving the planet you started on? Last night I ended up filling up my fuel tank just so I could go to another planet and see what was there, but it was just the same old stuff. The only point in moving, as I see now, is to perhaps move to a planet that you prefer? Like if you dont like the Arid planet you started on, you could just move to a forest one?

after you beat the first boss you can go to the beta sector which is harder/better loot/stuff

after you beat the second boss you go to the delta sector which has a new ore that you need

after you beat the third boss you go to the gamma sector which is harder/better loot/stuff

after you beat the fourth boss you can go to sector X and then it has danger 5-10 planets it in and they all have different ores

Whoa whoa whoa I think I did something wrong then.

I beat the first boss, I didnt even know there were different sectors.

You cannot find higher tier ores like Titanium, Violium, Cerulium, Rubium, and the like on the starting planet.

it's all up to you
if you want to go and find a better planet to settle on, then go ahead. there's no real set goal in this game since, after all, it's a sandbox- the game is what you make of it. you want to live on your starter planet? go ahead. want to hop around the alpha sector and visit other civilizations? that's cool too. want to move up through the sectors and explore more difficult planets and get better gear? go for it. want to challenge yourself and use minimum equipment through the whole thing? you can do that too
my point is, if you think there's a reason to go to another planet, then do so. but as qwepir said, you're really not going to find any of the fancy high-tier ores on your starting world. you'll need to move up a sector or something

Is there a way to change where you beam down to? I set up shop somewhere far away from "Spawn" and I dont want to walk all the way back every time I die.

Not yet, no.
