Real men don't cheat. If you're going to cheat, go with the fastest, most versatile option. A character editor.

Honestly the ore farming mod is probably the least convenient way of cheating. All you get is ores, and you can only use it on single player, or servers that have it. Servers wont have it because clients will crash if they don't have the mod themselves unless that was fixed.

I can only enjoy indirect cheating.

The only cheating I've done is giving myself my costume I wear to my character so he looks like how he did before the wipe.
I'm not wearing any of it as my actual armor though.
