Author Topic: Captial punishment, good or bad?  (Read 13638 times)

I don't believe in Capital Punishment. Why destroy human life, we should preserve what we have.

or test its limits

You know jails are ment to hold you for thirty days or until you have a trial. You can be bailed out of jail, but you still have to go to court. If you are convicted you go to prison.
i hate it when i use jail and prison interchangeably

Also Capital Punishment goes against our human rights. Everyone has the right to live according to the constitution.

doesn't go against our human rights to kill someone who destroyed the rights of other people illegally

also it doesn't go against the constitution to use the death penalty, if it did the founders would have included it in the constitution

and therefore since it isn't in the constitution it's a states rights issue, simple as that

it depends on the intent and mental state, and as i forgot to add before, reasons for doing so

we cannot just judge a broad range of cases on the principle that those who did the killing deserve to be killed

I'm really an eye for an eye kind of guy. (rhyme skills 2 the max)

I think that if you commit a crime, it should be equalized upon you. So, if you kill six people, you should be shot in major joints (IE knee, elbow, shoulder) with a hollow point .45 or something.

Yeah, that is. :0
I think that would fit under "cruel and unusual punishment."

Lol yeah...

twas a joke :)

mental state

we already cart the confirmed whackos off to mental institutions for life

it depends on the intent

okay let's see they intended to kill their victim okay that's the intent

there are varying degrees of mental conditions
you forgot reason for doing so

if a poor man joins a gang to get out of the cycle of poverty he is in and feed his family, how is he supposed to leave the gang if he would be killed for doing so

the poor man was told to kill someone and did in fear of his life

he was found out and is now on trial

how would you prosecute him

you'd think with our bloated welfare state this wouldn't be an issue?

also killing someone is a voluntary decision, it's not hard to flee a town and disappear

also why are you in a gang when you have a family

Actually, my name is Straw Mann, and I think any crime should be punished with death.

No crime should be punished by death. It is immoral, and expensive. To those who say it saves money, we actually spend more by giving them as many appeals as they want before being executed. It's less expensive to have life in jail.
