Author Topic: Why not Blockland for X-box 360?  (Read 4637 times)

The 3DS isn't powerful enough to handle blockland period. And the wii U wouldn't be able to handle that many bricks
I bet it could handle atleast 10,000 bricks with no shaders and shadows.

Have you seen Uncharted Golden Abyss on this?

Yes. But blockland isn't uncharted

Thats not a big achievement. Without shadows and shadors blockland is kinda bare unless the Wii U version had interiors and terrains (Which would never happen). And 10k bricks isn't even enough for Beta City. And also emitters+lights+events would slow it down

I like how every idea to put Blockland on something, minecraft already did (Xbox, Portable Edition)

false,
portable minecraft server on Ios device is nope

Though it could happen having a optimized blockland port to the wii u with shadows and shaders could be a exclusive to it and blockland.

Who said it couldn't be optimized?

Many games are optimized, heck maybe even a version for both the Vita and The 3DS are possible.
Regardless of their specs shaders or not, Blockland is still a good game without shaders.

Yes. But blockland isn't uncharted

Uncharted takes more to run than blockland bro.

Except the 3ds would need about 4 times the RAM to play blockland on minimum, let alone with any bricks, emitters, lights, or bots

You would barely be able to have 10K bricks without butchering the textures and emmiters

Like I said before, Blockland even without shaders would be fine, and how are you saying that its possible for a game like Crysis 2 to run on a console when a game like Blockland can't?

Your forgeting consoles run things differently than a computer in some occasions.
In a way it may also be possible to run things even smoother than on PC in such ways.

Blockland ran on my old Anthlon XP with 1GB and an old ATi Card at Max settings but no shaders.
And I never lagged one bit back then.

We have newer hardware now that outperforms the past. Its like if your saying something small can't be powerful.

Its 2013 and there is probably a cellphone somewhere in this world that can run Blockland shaderless at low settings with little lag.

It would be cool if it had DLC packs of addons, for free.

I mean't on the lowest possible settings (Including shaders being off) and the 3DS would still get about 10 FPS if your lucky without bricks. The Wii U might be able to run with some settings on low but you wouldn't be able to place that many bricks due to the CPU in it.

STOP SUGGESTING BLOCKLAND FOR A DIFFERENT CONSOLE!!
It will never happen, and no one will make it happen!

What if Badspot made a promotional Blockland game for consoles. What I'm thinking say taking a few different popular minigame styled stuff and make it a multiplayer fight thing strictly. For Example:

---------Main Menu---------
#[Singleplayer]
@[Multiplayer]
^[Options]

###Singleplayer###
+Players vs Bots in TDM/DMs
+RPGs

@@@Multiplayer@@@
+PvP
+Online MMORPG

^^^Options^^^
+Change avatar look
+sensitivity and controls
+Credits
+Blockland PC Version Trailer (must be an epic trailer)

-------------------------------------------

With this, No Building, but  Badspot can charge for the game and can come at with Map Packs for money.

Xbox elite was made in around 2008, so I assume it could handle a version like v17-v19 or something.
Even though its not going to happen.
