Try making the sprite wobble left and right while moving. That should add some flair.

The only time i could was using fragment blurs on seperate shading areas.

Which one specifically has the effect that you want? If it's the one above then all I really do is put the alpha transparency to 4 and just repeatedly brush it

I applied different shades of grey then i fragment blurred them.

Thats the effect in the end, but thanks nevertheless i wonder why i havent thought of making the brush transparent. Plus all your drawings are very nice and awesome :D
