I have Dark Souls on PS3.
I haven't played in a long time. I really need to make a new character, since someone I summoned dropped a lot of good stuff for me. It's fun to speed through the early game, but I want to experience it how it was meant to be.

It's the best feeling. And then just going into the Burg and killing everyone.

The weapon choice blows though, so I decided to level up and use the Dark Sword.


I'm going to do this build tomorrow I think.

Ascended Pyromancy Flame
Grass Crest Shield +5

Full Painting Guardian set, except for the headgear (which I wear Mask Of The Father in place of it for the added equipment load)

As for rings, I've been kinda switching between different stuff. I've been keeping Ring of FaP on, except for the Four Kings fight, which I replaced with Dusk Crown for the extra pyro castings. I really enjoy the Hornet Ring for both PvP and PvE, but sometimes I switch out with Dark Wood Grain for the nifty ninjaflippings.


Once I beat NG, I think I'm gonna start leveling this character up in NG+ as most people would have in NG. Mainly just because I'm gonna upgrade my Avalyn to Lightning +5 and I reaaaaaaally wanna use it. But I assume leveling up will be much easier in NG+.

Great Combustion was the primary. 8 charges with my setup kills one king, and dusk crown gives you enough for 2 kings. Easy kills.

Other pyromancy was Power Within. Normally put it on immediately after I killed the second king, to avoid losing too much health, as I didn't really need it for the first two.

Once you get a hang of their attacks, it's actually a pretty simple fight.

EDIT: Wait, It only gives you 12 charges.
I guess it only takes 6 to kill a king with the setup then. xD

4Kings SUUUUUUUUUCKS with no fastroll. Well... I don't like playing without being able to fastroll in general. It's the only reason I don't equip a light crossbow; I'm only like .2 weight away from being a heavyroller. It sucks.
