Put on Havel's Ring! :D
I use it on like every character because it gives me all the badassery of having heavy armor, keeps me light, and because of the heavy armor I have a lot of poise o:
I wear Havel's all the time on my other normal character. Just I like neeeeeed to constantly switch out rings on my SL1 to fit with whatever I'm fighting

Ah okay :oo

I remember my first encounter with havel I was skyping with my friend in Darkroot Basin and he was like "hold on dude" and killed him through the door

we got the key and went in and got the ring and I was like "wat"

I wish I could be bad at the game again ;_;

I like fighting Havel super early. Once you understand how he plays you can take him down even with basic starter equipment

I skip Taurus Demon on all of my characters and just go right through Havel. He's a bitch though without pine resin. Takes like 10 backstabs ;~;

i want to play right now but i'm too scared

Play it! What do you play on?

PS3
Username is TraceW, and I'm lacking the DLC.
I really need to make a new character, since someone I summoned dropped a lot of good stuff for me. It's fun to speed through the early game, but I want to experience it how it was meant to be.

I end up killing Taurus Demon after Queelag. Just a completionist, I guess

Just start up a random fun character! Sorcerer's fun. Pyromancer's OP.

I'm planning on making a Pyromancer Cosplay IRL.

I'd need brown fireproof gloves, and a lot of brown cloth, and those wool bandage things.

I'm gonna do this and go to a con or something.

Should totally get your hands on a fake fire axe to complete the ensemble

love this game, picked it back up because of this topic. i just beat quelaag or whatever her name is, the discharge thing was huge though so i left it alone after it killed me twice. also i killed the hydra and climbed up and there were two paths, just wondering if either is worth taking? im at anor lando right now btw, but im up for going back to darkroot lol.

how the hell are you supposed to get across the really thin walkway with all the blades ; ;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qui8GKPjhlY Here's a simple way to kill Ceaseless Discharge, it's how most players kill him. :)

Behind the hydra, there's a ladder that connects to Darkroot Garden, and if you follow the lake all the way back you'll find the Golden Golem, whom you have to kill to release the woman who sells the neat sorceries like Chameleon. This is also something you need to do to access the DLC.

Really thin walkway with all the blades? Do you mean in... Sens Fortress?

There's a few thin walkways with blades, lol. I'd love to help more if I could just get a bit more information. :)

oh i thought it was anor lando, i read that the chests try to kill you there and one of them ate me so i just assumed. im talking about the place with all the snake warriors, the walk way im talking about is the one with a cobra mage guarding it from a ledge. ill have to try to kill the golden golem, sounds like hes worth it
