Did it ever state when he changed his old avatar? What if he is already here under a new name? I think the best solution is we don't go on a witch hunt   in till we have reason to think person is the witch. This theory implies he is already back, it also implies he has not screwed up yet. Which means he has changed. If he has not yet returned then when he does we can at least act respectful towards him in till he screws up.
