Seems more like a digital download type-a-thing if you ask me, which would be good.

when I bought a new Xbox about a year ago, it came with a copy of halo reach which turned out to be basically one of the games on demand things, that you download instead of using a disk
never before has playing a game been so convenient

never before has playing a game been so convenient

except for steam/any other service which have been around for a while

I mean for me
and for me, it's more convenient than steam/any other services that have been around for a while because I can barely play most of the games I have on steam, and it's quicker

when I bought a new Xbox about a year ago, it came with a copy of Star Wars Kinect which turned out to be absolute crap, and Carnival Games: Monkey See Monkey Do which turned out to have amazing controls
I replaced your story with mine.

This changes loving nothing with the information we've been given.
Unless the disc doesn't install the game anymore after the first use, the disc can still be sold and reused.

This is no different from older pc games. The disc installs the game onto your computer, but even then you still require the disc to play (unless I am remembering incorrectly)

Im thinking its going to be exactly like the Xbox 360

where you can install the games which helps with loading times

I hate the people on the Youtube video who are saying "Screw Microsoft"

It pretty much is the same, except Durango requires it.
I've never owned an Xbox 360 previously, but I have basic knowledge of how it functions. Everyone who thinks this is a super bad and evil attempt from Microsoft to forget people over is stupid, because this changes nothing.

I've never really noticed a difference in that, but when I play some games, since I install most of them, the Xbox is noisier before I start up the game, lol

wrong. the disk has to be in the disk drive to play. it's this way on x360 and will be the same for durango. while durango (apparently) does not support playing from the disc you are still going to need to put the disk in the drive
what the forget
if you cant use the disk why do you need it anyways?

My minor complaint is when playing used games lately, devs have been making these online pass dlcs to gain full multi-player access to games, basically to milk out a little bit more money for buying a used game and to try combat piracy as well.

I buy all my games new anyways...

so you can't just rent games, install them, and play without the disk. the disk is basically proof you bought the game somehow.

What they're doing here is wasting their time. The only advantage is that it makes you install the game to the hard drive - and that's something you already already had the choice to do.

I probably wouldnt buy the new Xbox if it doesnt have backwards compatibility because I have about 35 Xbox 360 games.

If that would happen I would either just keep my Xbox 360 or sell it and get a PS4. We'll see when Microsoft finally seperates fact from fiction.
