They are both UNIX-Like, but Mac does not use a single line of code from Linux.

I've added two more options to the poll.

I love how there's only one vote for Macintosh.

When I assembled my new PC I put windows 8 64-bit on it. I love it! It took some getting used to, as for the start menu was gone and the new search method is actually quite handy once you get used to it. All in all I love it. The only sad thing about is that Homeworld 2 is not compatible with windows 8, and I love that game. :(        small tidbit: I've experienced no crashes, BSOD, or major problems with windows 8. Fyi.

never used windows but i don't mind having to use a mac all that much (even though it is annoying how like everything is windows-only)

The only reason to get Windows is for availability of programs.

I prefer Windows because I have the most experience with it and because of program compatibility.

I've had only minimal experience with Linux and Mac, so I can't really say much about them. The most I can say is "they're functional", haha. If I'd had more time to explore them, I could do better and probably find things I'd wish Windows would have. All I'm certain of is that there are flaws in every OS. It's up to the consumer to decide which one they can be comfortable with.

I have only used a Mac a couple times before and I can say that I had a good experience with them. However, because I mainly play games on PC, I stick with Windows because there are so many more games for Windows rather than Mac.

ChromeOS is just another form of linux, You're going to have to end up putting every linux os on here.

There are currently over six hundred Linux distributions. Over three hundred of those are in active development, constantly being revised and improved.
Have fun!

Make sure to include Linux for mondays! It's not in development anymore, but it still counts.

If macs had support with other programs and they were way cheaper and compatible with costom build stuff than I would use Mac. But windows
