He keeps running east, ignoring his exhaustion and still running, but at one kilometer he comes across a town called Mariazellerstraße.
He walks into town with unharmed houses with dead grass all around, about 200 meters inward of the town, he sees a church with graffiti written across the signs and the wall reading "THE END IS HERE, JOIN JESUS AND THE PATH OF ENLIGHTENMENT," "REPENT," "HELL HAS COME TO WAR WITH GODS CHILDREN" and so on. He notices a military truck in the parking lot and some plastics running into the church.

take cover in a nearby building; head for the roof or some higher-up window that has a view looking down.

do you have a melee weapon on you? probably shouldn't fire weapons at zombies/etc so close to a possibly-manned military vehicle.

Hanns walks into a house just 200 feet from the church. He comes into the door to see a corpse missing it's limps hanging in the doorway into the kitchen, he notices a bunch of rotten food all over the floor in the kitchen and cringes to smell of it and the corpse. He walks up the stairs and into the first room he sees; as he opens the door, a a pair of legs that appear that of a childs are stapled to the ground by long steel rods. He stands there a moment, wondering where what did this is now. He walks over the legs and stares out the window, pulls out his binoculars and looks over the town. Nothing much different than the town he was in before, smaller, but still mostly burnt down. Just a bunch of houses still, he thought to himself that they must've gotten food from the food-mart just one kilometer over. He turns around to see a bunch of writing on the wall; it reads "FORGIVE ME LORD FOR I HAVE SINNED" and a man sits under it with his wrists slit and parts of his legs missing.

Leave the house and go over to the Food Mart, make sure you're not being followed by anyone or anything.

You were already at the food-mart, you were attacked by a zombie.

Bury the man
Burying the man would probably be a waste of time, seeing as he can't bury every dead person.

What are "plastics" again?

take a look back at the church area again, then descend the building.

Oh yeah, look around for unspoiled food. Check the "back" where they keep most of the stuff; maybe they have some packaged food left there.

Thick plastics walling the entire entrance of the church

Hanns looks over back the church, the plastic is spread all over the entrance of the church; ... some blinking occurs in the church that reflects off the plastic, then a faint pop.

Hanns climbs down the stairs, walking over the corpses and into the kitchen, opens up all the cabinetry searching for non-perishables, he opens up some drawers and a large nest of spiders are seen crawling all around, he jumps back, yelping in fear, he quickly closes the drawers and refuses to open anymore drawers.
He finds some canned sausages and a jar of pickles, he can't fit in the jar of pickles in his pack but he takes one for the road, while sticking the sausages in his pack. He walks out into the street, takes a deep breath of fresh air and curses.

head over to the military vehicle, gun up.

aww lol i thought it'd be the first adventure with a lonely 40 year old guy as the protagonist in blockland forum history

head over to the military vehicle, gun up.

Hanns walks toward the truck and notices it has a bunch of holes in its carapace and a arm hanging off the back. He pulls out his gun, and checks to make sure a bullet is primed, as he pulls it out a casing jumps out and falls to the ground. It hits the ground with a ting. A bunch of crows fly out of the truck and the arm starts swaying slightly. He walks closer, moves towards it side; he holds his breath and quickly moves over aiming his weapon toward the inside. There's a corpse with a MP5 hanging off of him with a strap, a crate in the back with explosives labelled on it. He turns around quickly to make sure there's nothing around him and sees nothing but darkness inside the church.

Check MP5's ammo and look around for any spare mags. can you sling the weapon along with you?

look in the explosives crate. A stick or two of dynamite or whatever's in there may come in handy later.

Search body and truck for any flares or something. would be nice to have more spare lighting.

Be sure that while you're doing this you're not putting your back to the church, at least not for too long at one time.

Hanns climbs into the truck and pulls off the MP5 off the dead soldier, checks the magazine to find only half the clip is there. That probably explains the holes in the carapace. He slings it over his shoulder. While searching the soldier he finds some matches, cigarettes, an empty magazine, and a busted Glock 17. He notices a massive puncture in the soldiers torso, even through the kevlar. Hanns starts coughing from the look of the gore, turns away from the corpse and looks towards to church again. Still dark. Hanns speaks to himself "This stuff gives me the creeps, poor bastard." He goes back into the truck and goes toward the crate. The crate is bolted down by some nails. He takes a crowbar out of his pack and starts tearing the crates top apart. As soon as most of the crate cover is torn apart, he sighs slightly, looks in the box, and sees 50kg of C4 in the box, none are primed and there's no detonator. He looks up on the shelf attached to the top of metal wall in the truck, some batteries, and a heavy-duty flashlight. He grabs them both, dropping his small flashlight, replacing it for the bigger one.

Take the broken 17, it might be useful for parts
and take out all the C4 from the truck, make it look like a trap
