if i have 7 different things, i want to know how many combinations that are possible combining 2 of the 7 things and not having a first item and first item together

and i need one for conbinations of 3, 4, 5, and 6 ._.

I think it goes like 7x6x5x4x3x2x1.... I think

he's on the right track.
make something up like this.

how would i do 3, 4, 5, and 6

wait
clarify as best you can

make a diagram, that's probably the simplest (but probably the most time-consuming as well) way to go about it

and how old are you?
I'm just curious

if i have 7 different things, i want to know how many combinations that are possible combining 2 of the 7 things and not having a first item and first item together

how do you combine something with itself if it is a physical thing

how do you combine something with itself if it is a physical thing
um...
that's exactly what he said not to do

he didn't say anything about the second and second item

he didn't say anything about the second and second item
yeah but you know exactly what he means sooo...

it's called a permutation

yeah but you know exactly what he means sooo...
see that's the sad part-- I don't

edit: from what I am able to comprehend at the moment, what he needs for the last part is 3*4, 3*5, 3*6 and 4*6
